Wind and Apples

This was a great weekend -
Friday night LC and I grilled here in GR, worked around the yard and watched some of our favorite Thursday night shows (which we had DVR'd because we were at the beach).
Saturday morning found us headed to the Windy City...my parents and PC were celebrating his graduation and LC and I decided to tag along. While they spent the afternoon there on an architecture cruise LC and I went to Wicked. Suffice it to say that after the performance we had a very good understanding of why this huge hit has been on stage for so long. After the show we headed over to Rock Bottom for beers on the roof while looking over the skyline. Dinner followed below in the dinning room. It was then time for the Boys and Girls to part ways- we to Millennium Park and they to H&M. After reuniting the plans get a bit more complicated - we were planning to stay in a hotel half way back to GR and hike this morning. The problem being - after stopping at many a hotel we realized that the Fighting Irish were booking every room in the surrounding 100 miles. That meant - we got back to GR at 1am.
The upside is that we enjoyed a wonderful day in town today:
Running errands, working on small projects and the highlight - doughnuts, fresh cider and pumpkin picking at Robinett's Apple Haus.
I'll let the picks below cover the detail:
*(Note the size of a certain someones pumpkin (MINE))
**(Note that the aforementioned flower boxes were completed without death)
