5 Years Old And LOVING IT!!!

LC and I had the great pleasure of having our niece GY Friday night. We were celebrating the significant and exciting occasion of her 5th birthday and man did she soak in every moment. I think that likely the greatest source of joy was the total and unadulterated attention of 2 adults for a 24 hour period. That aside we spent our time in following manner:

Friday night we went to GY's favorite restaurant: Yesterdog for a "cheesy hot dog" (LC and I each took out 3 Ultra Dogs!) After dogs it was off to Jersey for some ice cream. That was followed up with GY's choice of a movie at the video store. The clear choice of course was a Polly Pocket adventure flick.

Saturday morning we were up at 8:30am and worked together to make waffles which we each topped with our choice of toppings. The birthday girl enjoyed a waffle with: powdered sugar, raspberries and powdered chocolate. Add a side of bacon and she was in business. Much of the remainder of the day was spent at MVP in the various pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, and sauna's. GY made sure she took advantage of all the options for a good 4 1/2 hours. Finally we wrapped up the afternoon with some bowling.

I think we can truly wore her out and that she had a great time. She made sure to comment many times that she was sure she was having a much better time than her two brothers!
